We are delighted to be bringing you the Nutty Races at the South West Outdoor Festival (SWOF) for 2020. An amazing festival celebrating outdoor activities, adventures, pursuits and pastimes – plus fine food, great music and inspirational speakers.
Festival goers can camp for whole weekend or visit for the day, taking part in as many events as tickle their fancy. Activities range from trail-running and mountain-bike challenges through to small-group guided adventures such as kayaking and climbing. There’s also plenty of action happening on site, where people can experience everything from axe throwing to yoga, campfire cooking, barefoot walking, wild food foraging and star gazing. The festival begins on the evening of Friday from 4pm, and comes to an end on the evening of Sunday at 6pm. For more information on SWOF visit www.nationaltrust.org.uk/SWOF.
Your race entry acts as a day ticket to the festival, so you can join in with all the other numerous activities on site in between your running. Camping is available and can be booked via the SWOF website.
What is a Frolic?
Over an 8 hour period you do as much running as you want. Complete at least 1 lap to get your medal. They are relaxed events with a fun atmosphere. You can run in teams of 4,3,2 or go solo.
Frolicosaurus route is 5.5ish miles in length. Solos do as many laps as you want. For teams only one of you runs at a time then you swap as and when you feel like it in the “Dino change over area” where you hand over your baton (squeaky cow).
New for 2020 if you want to add a member to your team - you can! Simply select the Additional Team Member entry from the list & select the team name from the drop down in the Join Team Name box to get added!
