Moreton 10 Mile 2021
29 May 2021
Weekend at the Races makes a triumphant return for 2021, based in the village of Moreton, near Dorchester. We're lucky to host this event on a family-owned estate that has been in their hands since the Norman Conquest, which means not many others run around it. By White Star Running standards, these races aren't overly hilly, but it can be a bit demanding underfoot in places. Taking place over a Bank Holiday weekend events includes a 12-hour frolic, full marathon, a 10-mile race, kids' races and an 8-hour frolic over three days. An action-packed weekend is waiting for you and your family with camping and entertainment on site.
The 10-mile route takes in Moreton Plantation and parts of the the Frolic route on the private estate. There are various terrains to navigate – some tracks, fields, sandy paths and woodland areas – so a nice mix underfoot. There are a few river crossings and some lovely heathland too. To get a flavour of the event, here's a review from 2019.
The cut-off time for the 10-mile race is 3 hours.
Minimum age requirement for entry is 16 years old. For general race questions, see our FAQs.
Prizes are awarded on the line for the first three male and female runners, with all finishers receiving a medal and some yummy Dorset food and drink for your race goodies.
Camping can be booked in our exclusive 'athletes' village' here. Alternatively, there is a list of local accommodation here: Accommodation Listings.
