Summer Larmer Half Marathon
01 August 2021
White Star Running returns to the Wiltshire Downs for the Larmer Tree races once again… but in the summer! Bringing you a whole new set of races, the Summer Larmer races go over a lot of the ground from the Spring Larmer Tree races, but the change in season makes a massive difference to the landscape. Thank you to the Rushmore Estate for letting us run round their backyard – it’s starting to feel like our second home!
Based at the beautiful Larmer Tree Gardens, one of Britain’s poshest race venues, we've got four epic trail races, plus a new kids' race and a beer mile for charity. They're a bit hilly, but hopefully it won't be as damp as the Spring Larmer Tree races! The half-marathon route takes in the valleys of the Rushmore Estate, with spectacular views across the countryside. This is a tough race, with some steep climbs, sharp descents and the most amazing views to reward yourself with. There are brilliant marshals along the route for you, with aid stations to help keep you fuelled up.
The race starts at 9am.
There will be hot food and drink vendors ready to serve you pre- and post-race.
The cut-off time for the half-marathon is 4 hours and our minimum age requirement for entry is 17 years old. For general race questions, see our FAQs.
Prizes are awarded on the line for the first three male and female runners, with all finishers receiving their medal, muff and some yummy Dorset food and drink for their race goodies.
Because it's summer, unlike the Spring Larmer Tree races, camping is available and there's even a Barn Dance on the Saturday night! Camping can be booked in our exclusive 'athletes' village' here. Alternatively, there is a list of local accommodation here: Accommodation Listings.
