Winter Larmer Tree 7 Mile – Dog Race start
05 December 2021
Larmer in winter. It's just like spring really – same amazing scenery and tough challenging trails, just on a frosty sunny day. What's not to love?
The seven-mile race is a new edition to the Larmer race line-up, offering an exciting distance for those just starting out their racing season. The route takes in the valleys of the Rushmore Estate, with spectacular views across the countryside. This is a tough race, with some steep climbs, sharp descents and the most amazing views to reward yourself with. There are brilliant marshals along the route for you, with aid stations to help keep you fuelled up.
This race allows you to run with your canine companion and experience the route together, as part of our dog-friendly races. Each runner can have up to two dogs and will be in wave starts of 30 runners, approximately 15 minutes ahead of the main race. If you’re new to Canicross running, check out this review for all you need to know.
The race starts at 9.15am and race numbers will be posted out to all entrants who enter before 18th November, along with a parking pass. If you enter after this date, you'll need to collect your race number on the day. Obviously, we don’t yet know what the situation will be with Covid-19. Procedures will be put in place to ensure people’s safety. For those of you who enter later and need to collect your numbers from race admin, please allow plenty of time prior to the start of the race to ensure you can do so in a safe manner.
Prizes are awarded on the line for the first male and female runners, with all finishers receiving their medal and some yummy Dorset food and drink for their race goodies.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer camping for the Larmer Races. However, there is a list of local accommodation here: accommodation listings.
