Winter Larmer Tree Marathon
26 November 2021
Larmer in winter. It's just like spring really – same amazing scenery and tough challenging trails, just on a frosty sunny day. What's not to love?
The Larmer Marathon route takes in the valleys of the Rushmore Estate, with spectacular views across the countryside. In 2021, we have a new start to take out the muddy path from last year’s race. This is a tough race, with some steep climbs, sharp descents and the most amazing views to reward yourself with. There are brilliant marshals along the route for you, with aid stations to help keep you fuelled up. If you’re not sure what to expect, here's a race review to help you get a feel for the race.
The race starts at 8:30am and race numbers will be posted out to all entrants who enter before 18th November 2021. If you enter after this date, you’ll need to collect your race number on the day. Obviously, we don’t yet know what the situation will be with Covid-19. Procedures will be put in place to ensure people’s safety. For those of you who enter later and need to collect your numbers from race admin, please allow plenty of time prior to the start of the race to ensure you can do so in a safe manner.
There will be hot food and drink vendors ready to serve you pre- and post-race.
The cut-off time for the marathon is 7 hours and our minimum age requirement for entry is 18 years old. For general race questions, see our FAQs.
Prizes are awarded on the line for the first three male and female runners, with all finishers receiving their medal and some yummy Dorset food and drink for their race goodies.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer camping for the Larmer Races. However, there is a list of local accommodation here: accommodation listings.
