This December, we're holding another virtual event for you to take part in: WSR 12 Runs of Christmas

You have from the 13th to 24th December to complete the quests below taken from the 12 Days of Christmas. You can do as much running AND/OR walking as you want. This is open to any age or ability.

Your quests are to find and photograph (you're going to have to be pretty creative!):

A drummer drumming
A piper piping
A lord a-leaping
A lady dancing
A maid a-milking
A swan a-swimming
A goose a-laying
A golden ring (or five…)
A calling bird
A French hen
A turtle dove
A partridge in a pear tree

PLUS: We want a pic of your tree with the decorations on (see below for details) and, of course, a lovely video of you singing the last verse of the 12 Days of Christmas!

If you want to complete this with friends or family, you're more than welcome to do so, but please ensure you don't have groups larger than whatever the Covid guidance allows at the time of running! (Got to get our Covid-19 bit in.)

You sign up as a solo – everyone does.

Your entry includes 3 –yes 3! –  bespoke wooden Christmas tree decorations, with postage for these to get direct to your door.

THE IMPORTANT BIT!

Entries will close on the 4th December 2020. 'Why?' I hear you all scream! Well, these are tree decorations and we'd like you to have them ready to hang on your tree all ready for the special day. So we'll be posting out the decorations during the week of 7th December. If you're taking part from abroad, please enter ASAP and we'll get your medals made and sent out as quickly as possible.

RACE INSTRUCTIONS 

Like a normal race… except it isn't. 

This is quest, if you want to take part! We've provided the list above of the 12 Days of Christmas that we'd like you to find on your travels – yes, some performing will be involved! The more creative you are the better. You take photos while on your run of the things we ask and the best photos will win prizes.

You can choose to run every day if you wish, but knowing how precious time is at this time of year we are giving you a more flexible option. If you can't find an item or it's a bit rubbish don't panic! You could find all the others and still win a prize. 

Evidence must be uploaded to our Facebook Group during the event. Anything received after 24th December 2020 won't be entered into the prize pot. If you don't have access to Facebook, please send photos to rundeephq@gmail.com by the same date.

The lovely WSR Cheerleaders, plus maybe Andy and Jo, will be choosing the best pics in each quest. The Grinch in us is saying please, please, only 1 photo per quest! 

The prizes will be varied and accessible to anyone, even the kids.
